Our Club Tennis sessions are open to members and visitors, and take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 10am-1pm, and on Sundays 10am-12 noon. Usually JITC have the use of 4 or 5 courts . We meet outside court no.5 where we have a shady terrace area which is often used for tournament refreshments and picnic lunches.
Each player has a peg with the player’s name on it, and the organisers use the pegs to allocate pairs to courts. The game organisers usually allocate play sessions for approximately 25 to 30 minutes. It is your choice how many sessions you wish to stay and play in.
The Wednesday session is currently allocated to Mens Doubles and Ladies Doubles, depending on numbers.
The Sunday sessions are more informal, and often a lunch is organised to follow play. This is a great way of getting the non-playing family members along to chat together over a leisurely lunch, and also to get to know one another.
In any one morning there will be about 4 or 5 sessions giving players a good opportunity to meet fellow members of all ages, and play a good standard of Tennis. If you choose you can sit out for one, or some of the sessions and have a coffee in the coffee bar, or just sit and chat on a bench in the shade on the terrace area in front of the courts.
Visitors are welcome to join in these club sessions, at a cost of 10€ for the first session, then 6€ for further sessions up to a maximum of 3 subsequent visits.
